Panafest is a cultural event dedicated to enchangement of the ideals of Pan- Africanism and the development of the African Continent. It is organized biennially for Africans and people from African descent as well as all persons committed to the well being of Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora.

Day 1: 
Welcome, Akwaaba!
Welcome to Accra, capital of Ghana. Transfer to the Best Western Plus Accra Beach Hotel (4***).

Day 2: 
After breakfast we will set off to discover Ghana’s capital Accra, a busy
city with its own distinctive style. Among our stations: DuBois House,
National Museum, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial, plus a brief visit to Makola
market, Accra’s commerical heart. Our relaxation program for the afternoon
begins at the pool or you may visit Labadi Beach. Overnight at African Royal Beach Hotel.

Day 3: 
After breakfast you depart from Accra to Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom. Visit to Manhiya Palace, which is in use by the Asantehene, the ruler of the Ashanti people, and visit the historical museum. Overnight at Rexmar Hotel (3***).

Day 4: 
After breakfast, a full program in the capital of Ashanti, visit the Culture Centre, Central Market, Military Museum and King’s Palace. Visit to Ashanti craft villages, the Kente Weaver’s village at Bonwire, Wood Carver’s village and the Adinkra village. Overnight at Rexmar Hotel.

Day 5: 
After breakfast, depart Kumasi to Cape Coast. En-route, stop at Assin Manso, the burial site of two former slaves from the U. S. and Jamaica whose remains were re-interred in August 1998 during Ghana's first Emancipation Day Celebration. Visit the "Slave River" where captured Africans were washed before being confined in the Slave Castles to await shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean.
Later, in the evening after arriving in Cape Coast, enjoy the PANAFEST activities and Emancipation celebration
Overnight at Coconut Grove Beach Resort (3***).

Day 6: 
After breakfast, your journey takes you to Cape Coast Castle, a restored UNESCO World Heritage site. Once the seat of the British Colonial administration, this castle is home to the infamous Door of No Return, one of the most vivid reminders of the colonists' slave trade.
Later in the day, PANAFEST activities continue.
Overnight at Coconut Grove Beach Resort.

Day 7: 
After breakfast, tour Elmina Castle, also a UNESCO World Heritage site built in 1482. This castle was the first European structure in sub-Saharan Africa. After, take a guided tour through the ancient town of Elmina. Later in the day, PANAFEST activities continue. Overnight at Coconut Grove Beach Resort.

Day 8: 
After breakfast, depart to the Kakum National Park for a sensational Canopy Walk. Walk from tree to tree, a unique experience, the only one of its kind in Africa. Choose between a 2 km nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer, or take a walk on the canopy walkway.
Later, the celebration continues at PANAFEST. Overnight at Coconut Grove Beach Resort.

Day 9: 
Today return to Accra. En-route you will stop to visit Fort Amsterdam at (Cormantin) and the village of Abandze, the ancestral home of Louis Armstrong, the famous American Jazz Musician. Arrive in Accra in the afternoon. Overnight at Best Western Plus Accra Beach Hotel (4***).

Day 10: 
The countdown begins. Today is our last full day in Accra. We will laze through Accra to buy souvenirs at the Arts Centre. In the evening transfer to the airport for check in.
