Amendment Fees

Once a booking has been made, any change is subject to a communications fee of $25 per change.

Once documents have been issued, any change will be subject to a minimum administration fee of $50 in addition to communications charges.

Regarding airline tickets we would like to inform you that name changes are not allowed and airline tickets are not exchangeable/transferable.

Airline regulations

Airlines tariffs specify they are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes. The passage contract, when issued constitutes the sole contract between the airlines and such purchasers of these tours and/or passengers, and shall be governed by applicable tariffs and the provisions of the Warsaw Convention, if applicable. Carrier liability for passengers’ baggage is clearly stated on the traveller contract included on all tickets or can be inspected at the offices of the carrier. Carrier’s liability for baggage shall in no event exceed the actual loss incurred by the passenger, subject to proof of the amount of the loss, and laws limiting the amount of damages available.

Golden Ghana Tours Ltd. is not responsible for airline or other third party supplier bankruptcy, flight cancellation, flight delay, or lost luggage. In order to be protected against airline or other supplier non-performance, passengers must purchase adequate travel insurance before the trip commences.

Booking confirmation

After you made you're booking you will receive a booking confirmation & invoice. Please take notice of our payment conditions.

With reference to online bookings we will offer you an alternative hotel, car or excursion if you're preferred choice cannot be confirmed by the service provider within 48 hours after booking date (during business hours).  The alternative will be equal or better as you're preferred choice (if available). You have the right not to accept the alternative and the booking may be cancelled free of charge. This will only happen in rare occasions as we depend on the availability information provided by the hotel and other service providers which may not be always up to date.


Cancellations received more than six weeks prior to departure will incur the loss of the non-refundable deposit (15 %).

Cancellations received less than 6 weeks and more than 3 weeks prior to departure will be levied at a fee of 25% of the fare.

Cancellations received less than 3 weeks prior to departure will be levied at a fee of 75% of the tour cost.

Cancellation received less than 1 week prior to departure will be levied at a fee of 100 % of the tour cost.

There will be no refund for unused land arrangements after departure.

Other specific supplier and airline cancellation penalties may apply in addition to cancellation and amendment fees listed herein.


All passengers are strongly advised to take out adequate insurance coverage to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to or during travel. In the event of a traveller becoming ill during a tour, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveller's responsibility and they shall not be entitled to any refund, either total or partial, of passage money paid.

Check with your agent as to what conditions and charges apply if you cancel your flight and/or land reservations.

Force Majeur

We shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature or kind whatsoever, resulting from events beyond our or a supplier's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods or acts or restraints imposed by government authorities.


Guaranteed balance of payment is required six weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated. If the balance is not paid by the stipulated date, the right is reserved to cancel the booking(s) without further notice and without refund of deposit.


Because of the volatility of exchange rates all prices are subject to change or surcharge.

Once we have received your deposit you would be given the opportunity to pay in full to avoid a price increase (should it occur) or cancel your booking without penalty.

Travel documents & Visa

Every traveller must be in possession of a current passport valid for at least six months from date of return, round-trip airline ticket, and adequate funds for the duration of the stay. Obtaining a passport is the responsibility of each passenger. All travellers must consult with the appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed. Securing any needed visas is the responsibility of the traveller.
